About Ludhiana
Institute for Autoparts & Hand Tools Technology (IAHT), Ludhiana is an Industrial R&D, Technical Services and Skill Upgradation providing Centre. It was set up by Punjab Govt. in Assistance with UNDP/UNIDO in 1994. The complex of the institute is spread over 6 acres of land in the centralised industrial focal point of Ludhiana. The focused area of the institute is Auto Components, Hand Tools, and Light Engineering manufacturing sector.
The activities of the Institute include Research & Development Solution to micro, small and medium enterprises of the region to enhance their efficiency through process improvement, economizing use of raw materials, design solutions, material characterization, treatment, precision manufacturing, measurement, calibration and to provide HRD Training.
Institute is ISO 9001:2015, EnMS ISO 50001:2018, EOMS ISO 21001:2018 certified and AERB, Govt. of India approved Industrial Radiography Institution. Institute Labs viz. Chemical, Mechanical, Non-Destructive Evaluation and Calibration are NABL Accredited and BIS recognised.
